Jaw-activated Frac Sleeve
The
jaw-activated fracturing sleeve enables unlimited stage number in fracturing
operations, in contrast to conventional ball-activated sleeves, the new design
uses a retracted jaw and a ball to act as the ‘key’ to open the corresponding
sleeve, the length of lugs on the jaw instead of ball seat ID could be used to
identify different stages, thus the maximum stages is not limited to the tool
ID and a larger wellbore is available for high rate sand slurry pumping.
A
soluble ball could be used to ensure no restriction exists during production,
no milling is required. The sliding sleeves could also be closed by intervention
tools to adjust to the production results.
The
activating force could be adjusted by replacing shear pins. Alloy steel is used
by default and anti-corrosion materials could be selected as an option.
