The RFZP swell packer system from Ruifeng Petrotech provides reliable and economic completion solutions for customers. Based on the swelling properties of rubber element in hydrocarbons or water, RFZP swell packers can swell up to 300% of original element size, providing a complete seal in the annulus around the pipe.

The RFZP swell packer system could be applied in either cased or open holes, it includes a water or oil activated rubber element, bonded to a base pipe with baffle rings. The sizes of basepipe and element could be tailored to the completion design, and the differential pressure rating of the tool could be tailored as well by adjusting the element length. With proper temperature and reservoir fluid data, the swelling time could be accurately predicted according to database and lab experiments, enabling a more efficient completion design process.

The RFZP swell packer system doesn’t contain any moving parts, thus it can be run in hole efficiently without  the need to avoid rotation or reciprocation during operation. Due to its simple structure, no on-site technician is required to run the tool, which further saves the rig time and cost for customers.
